Site Agent / Project Manager
Location: Mansfield Nottinghamshire
Alliance Contraction Solutions Ltd. is looking to recruit a Site Agent / Project Manager to join the Mansfield team covering projects for a number of high profile clients on long term frameworks such as The Environment Agency, The Coal Authority, Water Authorities and various other contracts around the UK.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the sites and to ensure the projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organizing and managing the site activities. This will involve taking responsibility for the onsite element of the works through strong management of the in house workforce. Monitoring the performance of all associated personnel, together with any actions necessary to maintain project targets and at all times ensuring that all Alliance’s procedures and all Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation and are complied with.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Contracting Director and will in direct contact with all clients on a day to day basis. Due to the variety of the works the Site Agent / Project Manager must be willing to travel as part of their duties and a company vehicle will be provided for that purpose.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Contracting Director and other Project Managers implementing any agreed actions
- Promote and maintain good working relations with clients, stakeholders, neighbours and other third parties
- Prepare, implement and monitor detailed work programmes
- Prepare, implement and monitor site safety plan taking the appropriate action where issues arise
- Prepare, implement and monitor environmental procedures plan and taking the appropriate action as required
- Prepare, implement and monitor site specific quality procedures taking the appropriate action where issues arise
- Leading the internal teams in delivering the agreed elements of work for each specific site
- Work closely with the site personal ensuring the necessary records are maintained and available as required
- Prepare, implement and monitor Target Zero Defects procedures
Individual:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering related subject topic would be advantageous
- Sufficient/relevant long-term trade/site experience
- Gold level category of CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Clean UK Driving Licence
- Willing to undergo full security checks
- Site management experience of various Civil Engineering Projects.
- Experience in R&M Projects and Clean Water elements would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry
- Leadership skills (control and management of employees)
- Ambitious with high aspirations
- Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
- Numerate with good IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven track record successfully managing own project up to a value of circa £1m
